Mitigation June Concludes: Highlighting the Shoalwater Bay Tribe’s Tsunami Evacuation Tower

On May 17, 2021, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe celebrated the start of construction of a tsunami evacuation tower with a groundbreaking ceremony. This is the first tsunami evacuation tower like this in the country and will be complete in Winter 2021-2022.
