CREW created these self-guided learning modules to help earthquake program managers (EQPMs) and other earthquake preparedness professionals and volunteers explore topics and access information and tools that will support their efforts to improve the resilience of their states and communities.
The content of each module was developed with input from relevant experts in each topic area.
- Earthquake Insurance 101 provides a concise overview of earthquake insurance, including types, key concepts, and how it works.
- Earthquake insurance 102 offers guidance and tips for incorporating messaging about earthquake insurance and financial preparedness into public outreach and education campaigns.
- Seismic Safety Commissions 101 presents an introduction to seismic safety commissions, including what they can do, which states have them, and various ways they may be funded. It also offers tips, best practices, and resources for seismic safety commissions and those wanting to create one.
Access to the modules is free, and learners can view each module’s lessons in any order. To learn more, go to the welcome page: modules.crew.org/welcome-to-eqpm-101/
