CREW Hosts Successful Water Utility Systems Resilience Symposium

CREW, in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, hosted a series of 6 webinars in July 2020. The symposium brought together representatives from the water-utility industry, engineers, seismologists, geologists, and emergency management experts to explore the resilience challenges of this critical lifeline. Geological Society of Oregon Country Lecture – Nov 8th, 2019

CREW Board Member Yumei Wang (DOGAMI) will be giving the 2018 Lund career award lecture titled Disasters, Resilience and the Next Generation. A panel session with Jay Wilson (Clackamas Co), Jonna Papaefthimiou (City of Portland), and Sasha Pollock (Metro) and moderated by Paul Edison-Lahm (GSOC) will follow the lecture. The panelists will explore how we, as a society, can become disaster resilience.
